Silent by scary creatures...

During our safari drive there is a river where we get out and have an armed guide walk with us along the river and see alligators and hippos. Well there were baby alligators across the river and all the sudden we look down and this LARGE alligator was quietly resting right next to us. I was out of there! Then we saw baby and mom hippo and many others. I love the one with the hippos lined up resting in the water. Interesting fact about hippos... they don't really attack people for fun, but if they are on their way back to the water or out of the water and you are in their way they will just clench their jaws on you once and you will be crushed. They feel no need to kill you, they just want you out of the way. The attacks in the water are because they think you are something they like to eat. We were just walking along on the river so I was just convincing myself that they were content and I was not bothering them, but we got a look or two from the hippos that showed us that they were for sure the one in charge.
